Click here to download guidelines for testing. Requesters should note that currently we are unable to provide skin prick testing in infants less than six months of age. This is primarily due to safety concerns. While this may change in future, at the moment parents/guardians whose infants are referred for testing will be advised to discuss alternatives with their requesting doctor.
All referrals for skin prick (skin sensitivity) testing must be on the dedicated Skin Sensitivity Test Request / Consent form. The referral section must be fully completed by the referrer and the form given to the patient (or guardian) who must take it with them to their appointment for the test. The Consent section of the form is completed at the collection centre immediately prior to the test. The request form includes a number to call for an appointment for this test.
